Isabel Rodríguez Fernández

Prof. Isabel Rodríguez Fernández is a Senior Research Professor at IMDEA Nanociencia since April 2013, specializing in micro and nanofabrication technologies for polymeric soft materials. Her research focuses on bioinspired functional surfaces to control interfacial interactions, cell adhesion, wettability, and optical phenomena.

Research Interests include nanostructured surfaces for antireflective, superhydrophobic, and self-cleaning applications, as well as cell instructive topographies with antibacterial properties. Recent work explores lab-on-chip devices for tumor microenvironment modeling and nanomedicine transport studies.
