Isabel Oliveira

Isabel Oliveira is an external researcher at the Institute of Education (IE) of the University of Minho, collaborating on the project “External Assessment of Non-Higher Education Schools - AEEENS” under Prof. José Augusto Pacheco. She holds a degree in Humanities and a Master's in Educational Sciences (Curricular Development specialization). Since 2016, she has served as Deputy Director of the Braga Employment and Vocational Training Center (IEFP, IP). With 27 years of experience as a Portuguese Language and Literature teacher in secondary education, she has held roles such as member of the Permanent Appointment Board at Vila Verde Secondary School and coordinator of the National Reading Plan. Her professional activities include pedagogical council membership, national exam correction, and participation in UMinho seminars on education and workforce topics.

She actively contributes to local governance through membership in Municipal Education Councils (CME) and Local Social Action Councils (CLAS) across several municipalities. As legal representative for Braga’s IEFP services, she participates in regional policy platforms. Her interests span educational policy, vocational training, and systemic evaluation of educational institutions.
