Isabel Maria Marrucho is a Full Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon. Her research focuses on sustainable chemical engineering, particularly in the development of green solvents like ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents. She leads the Sustainable Technologies and Green Solvents group, aiming to design eco-friendly chemicals, materials, and processes for applications in CO₂ separation, water purification, and waste recycling.
