Isabel Diz Otero

Isabel Diz Otero is a contracted professor at the Department of Political Science and Sociology, affiliated with the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Santiago de Compostela. Her research focuses on political systems, administrative science, and autonomy studies, particularly in the context of Galicia. She holds a doctoral degree from the University of Santiago de Compostela, awarded in 2003 for her thesis on parliamentary dynamics and the consolidation of the autonomous system in Galicia (1981–2000).

She is an active member of the ARMELA Research Network in Equality, Rights, and the Social State, as well as the Political Analysis and Political Research Team. Her work bridges theoretical and empirical analyses of governance, political institutions, and socio-political equality.
