Isabel Diercks

Isabel Diercks is a Doctoral Researcher at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel since June 2023, affiliated with the Marine Mineral Resources group under Prof. Dr. Sylvia G. Sander and Dr. Sven Petersen. She also holds a Visiting PhD Student position at KAUST, Saudi Arabia, working with Prof. Dr. Alexandre S. Rosado and Prof. Dr. Froukje M. van der Zwan. Her research integrates geochemistry and microbiology to study low-temperature hydrothermal systems in the Red Sea and carbon dioxide removal strategies via ocean alkalinity enhancement.
