Isaac Tamblyn is an Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of Ottawa and an Affiliate Member of the Vector Institute of Artificial Intelligence. He also holds a position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo. His research focuses on applying AI and deep learning to nanoscience problems, particularly materials and processes related to renewable energy. Tamblyn earned his PhD in Physics from Dalhousie University as a Killam Scholar, followed by postdoctoral studies at the Lawrence Livermore and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories. He has also held visiting roles at UC Berkeley and the Carnegie Institution of Washington.
