Prof Isaac Luxmoore is an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering at the University of Exeter, where he also serves as Deputy Director of Postgraduate Research and Co-director of Postgraduate Engineering for Metamaterials. He is a key member of the Centre for Metamaterials Research and Innovation (CMRI), contributing to strategic research development in advanced materials and quantum technologies.
His research focuses on solid-state quantum photonics and experimental quantum nanophotonics, with applications in next-generation communication and sensing systems. His expertise spans quantum engineering, nanotechnology, condensed matter physics, and electronic systems. He actively teaches core electronic engineering modules such as ENG2008 Microcontroller Engineering and ECM3166 Communications Engineering.
Prof Luxmoore is open to supervising postgraduate researchers and collaborating with early-career scientists in quantum technologies and photonics.
