Iryna Takser is a Research Fellow at the Chair of Energy Efficient and Sustainable Design and Building at the Technical University of Munich since 2020. She has previously served as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics (2018–2021) and the Munich School of Engineering (2018). Holding a Master's degree in Energy-efficient and Sustainable Building (2017–2020) and a Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering Sciences (2011–2017), her work focuses on life cycle assessment (LCA) and urban mining for sustainable construction.

Her research explores life cycle assessment of buildings, urban mining for material reuse, and parametric optimization of construction systems to reduce grey CO2 emissions and operational energy demand. Recent work connects building density and vegetation to analyze thermal comfort-energy demand trade-offs in German cities, while historical projects include the NAWAREUM climate-friendly building case study in Straubing and raw material mapping for Bavaria.
