معرفی
Irja Gravdahl is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Engineering Cybernetics, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Her research focuses on robotics, particularly snake robots and their control systems, with an emphasis on obstacle-aided locomotion, dynamic modeling, and adaptive control in uncertain environments. She also explores applications in robotic bin-picking and automation.
Research Interests: Her work integrates control systems, mechatronics, and computer vision to advance robotic mobility and manipulation. Key areas include snake robot dynamics, form closure mechanisms, and proprioceptive force estimation.
Teaching: She instructs courses on automation projects (IELET2104), digital control systems (IELET2102), robotics and computer vision (IELET2107), and control technology (IELET2002).
Outreach & Presentations: Recent talks include 'Form Closure based Path Planning' at SWARM2024 (2024) and 'Modeling for Hybrid Obstacle-Aided Locomotion' at MATHMOD 2022 (2022).
