PD Dr. Iris Stahlke is a Lecturer in Social Psychology, Work and Organizational Psychology, and Business Psychology at the University of Bremen, affiliated with Faculty 11 (Human and Health Sciences) and the Department of Health and Society in Public Health. She habilitated in 2018 with a Venia Legendi in Psychology and completed her PhD in 2000, both at the University of Bremen. Her research focuses on psychodynamic approaches to social psychology, qualitative hermeneutic methods, and violence in social contexts, particularly affecting women and adolescents.
She has held roles such as Acting Professor (2018-2019), ERASMUS coordinator for psychology programs, and member of national and EU advisory boards on violence and legal proceedings. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary research, feminist perspectives, and applied psychology in crisis intervention.
Key research areas include domestic violence support systems, psychosocial process facilitation for victims, and qualitative analysis of trauma experiences. She coordinates international academic partnerships across Europe and beyond and provides psychosocial support to victims in legal proceedings.
