Irene Vikman

Irene Vikman is a Senior Lecturer at Luleå University of Technology, Department of Health, Education and Technology, Division of Health, Medicine and Rehabilitation. Her research focuses on physiotherapy, health promotion, and e-health solutions for stroke rehabilitation and aging populations.

Recent publications highlight her work on internet-based interventions for stroke patients (e.g., the SEE 1.0 study) and biomechanical/motor control research in geriatrics, including dual-task walking analysis and fall prevention strategies. Collaborations include Maria Larsson-Lund, Lars Jacobsson, and other researchers in occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
