Irene Velasco Ruiz

Irene Velasco Ruiz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Alicante, Spain. Her academic work is associated with the Biotechnology Pavilion (Pavellon de Biotecnologia) and the research group Cellular, Tissue, Evolutionary and Reproductive Biology (BioTER).

• Education: Master’s Degree in Reproductive Medicine and Genetics (Miguel Hernández University, 2014), Doctor in Biology (Miguel Hernández University, 2007), Degree in Biology (University of Alicante, 1997).

Her research focuses span biology, genetics, and biotechnology, with specific attention to reproductive, cellular, and evolutionary processes. She is based at the Biotechnology Pavilion on the university’s premises.
