Irene Tracey is a Professor of Anaesthetic Neuroscience at the University of Oxford, where she also serves as Pro-Vice Chancellor and Warden of Merton College. She has held key roles including Director of the Oxford Centre for Functional MRI (FMRIB) and Head of the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences. Her research focuses on neuroimaging of pain, analgesia, and anaesthesia, with significant contributions to understanding pain mechanisms and biomarker development.
