Dr Irene McMaster is a Senior Research Fellow at the European Policies Research Centre (University of Strathclyde), specializing in cross-national research on EU territorial and spatial development policies. Her work focuses on INTERREG programs, transnational cooperation between the UK, Ireland, and Nordic States, and evaluations of Structural Funds and Cohesion policy.
She has led major evaluations for the European Commission's Northern Periphery and Arctic Programmes, North Sea Region Programmes, and the Ireland-Northern Ireland-Western Scotland cross-border initiative.
