Irene María García Mosquera

Dr. Irene María García Mosquera is a Tenured Contract Senior Lecturer at Balearic Islands University's Mathematics and Informatics Department. She holds a PhD in Engineering (Mathematical Statistics) from Universidad Simón Bolívar (2011), a Master's in Statistics (2000), and a Mathematics degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela (1997).

Her research focuses on statistical modeling using Bayesian methods, with applications in computational biology, bioinformatics, and health sciences. She maintains active memberships in two research groups: BIOCOM (Computational Biology and Bioinformatics) and MoDAE (Data Modelling and Statistical Learning).

Awards include the prestigious Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowship (2015). Her professional experience includes consulting for pharmaceutical companies and developing specialized training in health data analysis.
