Ioannis Souldatos

Ioannis Souldatos is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (since 2020). Previously, he held tenured positions as Associate Professor (2016–2020) and Assistant Professor (2011–2016) at the University of Detroit Mercy. His research focuses on Mathematical Logic, Model Theory, Set Theory, Infinitary Logics, and Abstract Elementary Classes. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from UCLA (2008) with a thesis on Infinitary Logic and Characterizable Cardinals. His work includes contributions to Hanf numbers, spectra of sentences, and model existence in infinitary logics. Souldatos has presented at major conferences like the Joint Mathematics Meetings and the European Logic Colloquium. His office is located in the Main Building of the Faculty of Sciences, 3rd Floor, Room 6.
