Dr. Ioan Negulescu is a retired Professor in the Department of Textiles, Apparel Design, and Merchandising at Louisiana State University's College of Agriculture.
His research focused on:

- Rheological properties of polymeric systems
- Medical polymers and textile biocomposites
- Bio-based materials for industrial applications
- Polymer-reinforced sustainable asphalt technologies
Dr. Negulescu contributed to significant research projects including USDA-funded initiatives on biobased industry science and engineering, reclaimed materials, and bio-paving products. He taught advanced courses in textile science, macromolecular systems, and product evaluation.
