Inés de la Villa Vecilla is a researcher and PhD candidate in English Linguistics at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), funded by a predoctoral FPU grant from the Spanish Ministry of Science. Her research focuses on queer linguistics, sociolinguistics, and corpus linguistics, particularly language attitudes toward transgender identities and taboo expressions. She has conducted research stays at Queen Mary University of London (2023) and KU Leuven (2024), and actively participates in international conferences such as Lavender Languages and Linguistics. Her teaching experience (2020–2023) includes courses on English semantics, commerce management, and literary analysis.
