Inma Navarro is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at North Carolina State University. She holds M.A. degrees in TESOL and Hispanic Linguistics from Indiana University, and a B.A. in English Language and Literatures from the University of Seville, Spain. Her expertise spans Second Language Teaching, Sociolinguistics, Spanish Phonetics, and Heritage Language Learning. She teaches courses focused on Spanish conversation, phonetics, and heritage speakers' language development.
In 2022, she co-developed the Digital Library of Hispanic Voices app, funded by a DELTA grant, which explores Spanish dialect variations globally. She advises undergraduate students and has published research on perceptual categorization of dialect variation in Spanish.
