- Specializes in exposure assessment and environmental epidemiology
- Secured funding from NIEHS, CDC, and Philadelphia Regional Center for Children's Environmental Health
- Focuses on reducing health inequities through culturally tailored interventions
Education:
- PhD in Environmental and Occupational Health from Rutgers University
- MPH in Environmental Health from Seoul National University
- BS in Environmental Sciences from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies
Research Interests: Dr. Han investigates the long-term health impacts of cumulative environmental exposures, particularly focusing on air pollution, climate change effects, and health equity. His work spans:
- Environmental exposure assessment
- Industrial hygiene and air quality
- Health disparities in vulnerable communities
- Climate change and health inequities
- Policy development for environmental justice
- Low-cost sensor technology validation
Publications (2020-2025) reveal expertise in metal pollution, aerosol analysis, and environmental justice, with significant contributions to understanding how:
- Residential exposomes correlate with cancer incidence
- E-cigarette design affects metal inhalation risks
- Traffic patterns bias PM sensor measurements
- Post-disaster pollution affects health
- Culturally tailored interventions reduce exposure
- Occupational exposures cause respiratory diseases
Labs & Collaborations: Leads the HEAL laboratory, implementing exposure assessment studies that bridge academic, governmental, and community partnerships.
