Ingunn Ikdahl is a Professor at the Department of Public and International Law, Faculty of Law, University of Oslo. With expertise in human rights, welfare law, and gender perspectives, she focuses on law's role in livelihood, care work, and natural resource rights. Her career spans roles from research assistant (1999–2000) to postdoctoral fellow (2012–2014), associate professor (2014), and professor (since 2016).

- Research Interests: Human rights protection (discrimination, socio-economic rights), digitalization of the welfare state, women's rights in Southern/Eastern Africa, legal pluralism, and post-conflict justice
Her publications address social security scandals, digital governance, prison health law, and gender-equality in Nordic law, reflecting interdisciplinary and cross-cultural analysis. She leads the VERDI research group and contributes to programs like EDOLAD (Law and Development) and SEARCWL (Southern Africa Women's Law). Current projects include digitalization of the welfare state, health services in prisons, and post-22 July 2011 legal processes.
