Ingrid Young

Ingrid Young is an Affiliate Research Fellow at the School of Social & Political Sciences, University of Glasgow. Her work focuses on HIV prevention strategies, biomedicalization of health interventions, and the sociopolitical dimensions of public health policies. She has conducted extensive research on pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), treatment as prevention (TasP), and sexual health literacy among marginalized groups such as men who have sex with men (MSM) and communities of Black African ethnicity.

Her research interests include biopolitical frameworks, health equity, and the intersection of stigma, identity, and healthcare access.
