Ingrid Hekneby Braseth

Ingrid Hekneby Braseth is a Lecturer and subject manager for PPU Foreign Language Didactics at Nord University. With 18 years of teaching experience in primary/secondary schools and 14 years as an English/Norwegian teacher, she transitioned to academia in 2001 as a lecturer in English literature. Since 2015, she has held core roles at Nord University, including teaching courses on foreign language didactics. She also taught at the Police College (2010-2011), focusing on professional English, communication, and diversity.

Her research interests include student-centered learning methodologies and school-based competence development. She contributed to the Psychology in the municipality (PIK) journal (2019), exploring open assignments in language education.

Braseth actively participates in projects like Dekom (Decentralized Competence Development) and served as a development partner in Nordland schools via UiU (2016-2017). She is an external school evaluator trained by Udir, emphasizing practical educational reform.
