Ingo Wendt serves as Artistic Research Associate and Head of the Light Laboratory within the Media Art and Design Department at the Academy of Fine Arts Saarland, a position he has held since 2011. Co-founded with Prof. Daniel Hausig in 2007, the Light Laboratory operates as a central facility for artistic light experimentation, offering structured courses and open-access project support.
Wendt's research explores the convergence of light art, architectural interventions, and kinetic objects through analog-digital hybrid approaches. His practice investigates 'intermediate positions between painting and mapping,' utilizing natural phenomena alongside projector technology to create immersive visual experiences.
