معرفی
Inger Marie Starholm is an Assistant Professor at Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) within the Faculty of Health Sciences, specifically affiliated with the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Health Technology under the Prosthetics and Orthotics research group. Her research focuses on clinical interventions and assistive technology, particularly examining mobility, energy expenditure, and psychosocial adaptation in lower limb prosthetic users.
- Email: ingermarie.starholm@oslomet.no
Research Interests: Starholm's work primarily investigates biomechanics and physiological responses in prosthetic users, with emphasis on:
- Validation of mobility assessment tools
- Energy expenditure during varied walking conditions
- Effects of orthotic devices on balance and proprioception
- Patient-reported outcomes and psychosocial factors
- Cross-cultural adaptation of clinical surveys
- Metabolic efficiency in amputees
Publication Trends: Her recent scientific publications (2010–2025) center on prosthetic mobility, treadmill-based gait analysis, and metabolic responses in amputees. She has developed standardized assessment tools and conducted studies on knee orthoses, energy economy, and terrain simulation for prosthetic users.
Affiliation: As part of OsloMet's Faculty of Health Sciences, she contributes to research in rehabilitation technologies and participates in international conferences like the World Congress of the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO).
