Inger Knude Larsen serves as an Associate Professor in the Journalism Program at the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX). With a cand. comm. degree from Roskilde University (1998), she brings extensive experience in journalism education and video production to her academic role. Previously, she taught journalism at Volda University College from 2008 to 2012 before joining DMJX.
Her research interests span Journalism, Video Journalism, Streaming Media, and AI in Journalism Education. Professor Larsen has been particularly active in studying the transition from linear to streaming media formats and their impact on journalistic storytelling. Her work also addresses innovative teaching methodologies, especially in digital and emergency remote teaching contexts as demonstrated during the pandemic.
Professor Larsen's publication record shows consistent scholarly output with recent works examining streaming media transformation, video content value, and online teaching methodologies in journalism education. Her research demonstrates a clear trajectory from practical media production concerns toward the integration of emerging technologies like AI in journalism education.
