Inge van Geijlswijk

Dr. Inge van Geijlswijk is a Clinical Professor at Utrecht University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, where she serves as Head of the Pharmacy Department and Director of Policy at the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences (IRAS). As a hospital pharmacist-clinical pharmacologist, she specializes in antimicrobial resistance and prudent use of antimicrobials in veterinary medicine. Her work focuses on developing quantification tools for antimicrobial drug consumption and promoting antimicrobial stewardship across animal populations in the Netherlands.

Her research centers on Antimicrobial Drug Resistance, Prudent Use of Antimicrobials, Clinical Pharmacology, and Clinical Pharmacy. She is also a member of the expert panel of the Netherlands Veterinary Medicines Institute (SDa), where she contributes to developing quantification tools for antimicrobial drug consumption in compliance with EU regulations.
