Inga Bostad is Professor of Philosophy at the Department of Pedagogy, Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Oslo. She holds significant leadership experience including Director of the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (2014-2017), Pro-Rector of the University of Oslo (2009-2013), and leads the research group HumStud and NordEd project (2019-2024). Her teaching spans bachelor, master, and PhD levels, including research ethics courses.

Research interests focus on philosophical foundations of education, human rights, disability studies, skepticism, and Nordic education models. Her work examines ethical frameworks in pedagogy, justice in educational systems, and interdisciplinary approaches to human development.
Publications demonstrate strong focus on educational philosophy, ethics of rhythm in pedagogy, justice frameworks, and human rights. Recent works explore medicalized philosophy of education, interdependence theory, and Nordic educational models. Interdisciplinary approaches connect philosophy with clinical communication, environmental ethics, and disability rights.
