Ing-Marie Back Danielsson is a Senior Lecturer in Archaeology at the Department of Archaeology and Ancient History, Lund University. She holds the title of Associate Professor (Docent) in Archaeology since 2016. Her academic work bridges research and teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, with prior experience at Swedish and British universities.
Her research focuses on prehistoric bodies, particularly from the Scandinavian Iron Age, analyzing burial practices, relational ontology, neomaterialism, and affect theory. She explores intersections of power structures, gender relations, and structural/slow violence in archaeological contexts. She co-edits the Archaeology of Prehistoric Art series (BAR) and serves as editor for Current Swedish Archaeology.
