Inderjit Patel is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director in the Faculty of Health and Social Care, Department of Social Work. With over a decade of experience, she has taught modules including Social Work Theory and Method, Law, Values and Ethics, Sociology, Child Protection, Mental Health, and Interprofessional Practice.
- Current Module Co-ordinator for Law for Social Work Level 6
- Programme Director for the Postgraduate Mental Health Award
- Contributor to the Best Interest Assessor Module at Level 7 (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards)
- Admissions Tutor for PG Cert/Dip Mental Health since 2008
Her research and teaching focus on human rights issues in mental health, values and ethical dilemmas in social work, and legal frameworks. She also supports students academically and during placements in the BSc Social Work program.
