Ina Kaul

Prof. Dr. Ina Kaul is a Professor in the Department of Social Work and Social Welfare at the University of Kassel, specializing in Educational Science with an emphasis on Social Work and Education. Her academic work bridges theoretical educational frameworks with practical social work applications in childhood education settings.

Her research interests focus on the relationship between social work and education in childhood contexts, professionalization processes in child and youth welfare, didactics of childhood education, and empirical-reconstructive research methods. She examines how children and young people's development is shaped within educational and social work frameworks.

Prof. Kaul maintains significant professional engagement through multiple organizational memberships and leadership roles. She serves on commissions of the German Society for Educational Science (DGfE), chairs the Advisory board of the Protestant Fröbelseminar of the Diakonie Hessen, and holds board positions with the Federal Working Group for Education and Upbringing in Childhood (BAG-BEK) and the Institute for Theory and Empiricism of the Social (ITES).
