Dr. Imran Ahmad is a Professor in the School of Computer Science at the University of Windsor. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Wayne State University (1997), with prior degrees in Applied Physics (Electronics) from Karachi and an M.S. in Computer Science from Michigan. His research focuses on computer vision, machine learning, and image processing, including applications in traffic analysis, generative AI, and medical imaging. He has authored over 50 publications since 1995, with recent work emphasizing deep learning for vehicle detection, human activity recognition, and generative models.
