Chengjun Liu is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). His research focuses on computer vision, deep learning, and traffic management, with notable contributions to medical imaging applications, image analysis techniques, and intelligent surveillance systems. He has actively participated in federal grants, including a National Science Foundation project on wavelet-based image analysis and another addressing healthcare inequities in South Texas. His work spans over 135 publications, with a strong emphasis on practical applications such as real-time traffic monitoring, anomaly detection, and skin disease diagnostics using AI.
