Imke Hans

Imke Hans has served as a research associate for Career Services & Employability at the Faculty of Society and Economics at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in Kleve since 2015. She provides comprehensive career guidance and counseling services while developing and delivering workshops, lectures, and events focused on self-marketing, social media presence, employability skills, networking strategies, and inspirational career development.

Her educational background includes:

• English and German Studies (Mag.) from the University of Osnabrück
• Intercultural Communication (MA) with specialization in training, coaching, and mediation from Chemnitz University of Technology

Ms. Hans brings extensive professional experience from various industries and countries to her academic role, having previously worked as a project manager, trainer, consultant, and copywriter. Her research interests focus on practical career development methodologies, combining intercultural communication expertise with modern professional marketing techniques. She has developed innovative approaches to career services that integrate digital tools like e-learning platforms and social media strategies with traditional counseling methods.

Throughout her tenure, she has actively contributed to university governance through committee service including the Commission for Studies and Teaching (until 2018), Evaluation Commission, Search Commission, and Senate. From 2019 to 2021, she held the significant position of Central Equal Opportunities Officer, demonstrating leadership in promoting diversity and inclusion.

Ms. Hans continuously enhances her professional qualifications through additional certifications in systemic organizational development, systemic consulting (DGSF), solution-focused coaching, forest education, and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), reflecting her commitment to both personal growth and professional excellence in career services.
