Dr. Iman Berrahou is an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine and the upcoming Residency Program Director for Yale’s OB/GYN Residency Program (starting July 2025). She specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, LGBTQ+ health, and addressing healthcare disparities. Her research focuses on intersectional disparities in reproductive and maternal health among sexual and gender minorities. She received her MD from Harvard Medical School and completed residency at UCSF.

Dr. Berrahou’s research interests include LGBTQ+ health equity, obstetrical outcomes, and policy analysis. She has published extensively on topics such as transgender adolescent menstrual management, birth outcomes in sexual minorities, and cancer center nondiscrimination policies. Her clinical expertise includes robotic surgery, VNOTES, and gender-affirming care.
