Professor Imad Moosa is a Professor of Finance at RMIT University, currently affiliated with the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing. He holds a BA in Economics and Business Studies, an MA in the Economics of Financial Intermediaries, and a PhD in Financial Economics from the University of Sheffield. His career includes roles as a financial analyst, journalist, and economist in banking and finance sectors.
- Previous academic positions: Lecturer at University of Sheffield (1991–1994), Chair in Finance at La Trobe University (1994–2006), Monash University (2006–2010).
Research interests focus on financial economics, international finance, and development finance. He has authored 25 books and over 200 academic papers, contributing to global economic discourse.
Advisor to institutions such as KPMG, AusAid, US Treasury, Central Bank of Kuwait, and the United Nations. His work bridges academia with practical policy and financial sector challenges.
