Ilona Mikkonen is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Marketing, Aalto University's School of Business. She holds a Doctoral degree in Business and Economics from Aalto University (2011) and a Master's degree from Helsinki School of Economics (2005). Her research focuses on consumer resistance, identity work, gender studies, and the dark side of consumption, with notable contributions to understanding consumer behavior in contexts like health avoidance, LGBTQ+ representation, and organizational identity.
