Ilo E. Leppik

Dr. Ilo E. Leppik serves as Professor in the Department of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Neurology. With over 40 years of clinical practice at UMP Epilepsy Care Minneapolis, he has established national leadership in epilepsy research and patient care.

Dr. Leppik's research program focuses on epilepsy in aging populations, examining pharmacokinetic changes of antiepileptic drugs in the elderly and epilepsy management in nursing homes. Current initiatives investigate naturally occurring canine status epilepticus as a translational model for novel therapeutics and Minnesota cannabis applications for epilepsy treatment, supported by NIH funding.

His distinguished service includes past presidency of the American Epilepsy Society and leadership roles in the Epilepsy Foundation of America. Major recognitions feature:
