Ilja Tuschy

Prof. Dr. Ilja Tuschy is a Professor at the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, affiliated with the Institute of Systems Engineering. He joined the university in 2006 after seven years in industry at ALSTOM Power, where he worked in R&D, engineering, and sales of power plant technology. His academic credentials include a specialization in heat and power engineering from Flensburg University and a doctorate in power plant thermodynamics from the Technical University of Dresden, supported by a research fellowship.

Research Focus: Tuschy's work spans thermodynamics, energy storage (particularly compressed air systems), solar thermal plants, and the integration of renewable/conventional energy sources. Key areas include techno-economic analysis of power generation and sector coupling for energy transition.
