Ilija Vickovich

Ilija Vickovich is an Honorary Lecturer at Macquarie Law School and Director of Student and Academic Services. He serves as Unit Convenor for core law units including Contracts (LAWS104), Evidence (LAWS399 and LAWS814), and the Law Journals elective (LAWS533). He has been Editor of the Macquarie Law Journal since 2012 and previously convened the Litigation unit (Law 550) from 2009–2015.

Education: LLM (Research) from Macquarie University, BA (Hons) and LLB from the University of Sydney. His research focuses on Contract Law, Civil Justice, Legal History, and Law and Religion, with co-authored textbooks on Contract Law, Equity, and Civil Procedure.

Research interests span Evidence, Commercial Law, Legal Education, and Dispute Resolution. His work blends practical legal experience with theoretical insights, particularly in church disputes and transitional justice contexts.

Teaching contributions include moot problem design for the Sir John Peden Contract Law Moot and supervision of undergraduate research theses in areas like Corporations Law and Consumer Law. He actively participates in legal education initiatives and intervarsity competitions.
