Prof. Ilgi Tosun is a distinguished academic and dental professional currently serving as both Professor and Dean at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University's Faculty of Dentistry. With over 30 years of experience in dentistry, she specializes in Clinical Sciences with a focus on Prosthetic Dental Treatment. Her academic leadership extends beyond teaching as she previously served as Head of the Department of Clinical Sciences from 2020-2022.
Her educational journey began with postgraduate studies at Ege University's Faculty of Dentistry (1982-1990), followed by doctoral studies at Gazi University's Faculty of Dentistry, where she completed her dissertation on "Examination of three different cusp inclinations in two different cylindrical implant superstructures using finite element stress analysis method" in 1995.
Prof. Tosun's research spans multiple critical areas in dentistry, with particular emphasis on Prosthetic Dentistry, Oral Implantology, and Geriatric Dentistry.
