معرفی
Ilenia Bazzucchi is an Associate Professor at the University of Rome 'Foro Italico', Department of Human Motor Sciences and Health. She specializes in neuromuscular physiology, focusing on the effects of exercise and nutritional interventions on muscle function. Her research integrates electromyography (EMG) analysis with biomechanical and metabolic approaches.
Current roles include Coordinator of the Joint Commission of University Teachers and Students (CPDS), Member of the University Research Committee (CAR), and Head of the Exercise Physiology Laboratory. She leads projects like the CAPRICORN study on whole-body vibration effects and SELF (Smart t-shirts for an Easier LiFe) under the AAL European Program.
Her teaching includes courses in Human and Sport Physiology for undergraduate (L22) and graduate (LM68) programs. Research interests span neuromuscular activation in athletes, aging populations, and diabetic patients, with emphasis on motor unit recruitment patterns and exercise-induced adaptations.
Key projects include investigating quercetin's role in muscle recovery (2020), strength training adaptations (2019), and vibration therapy for motor control (ongoing). She has secured funding from Inail BRIC and the University's internal grants.
