Ilda Tole is a Researcher at the Department of Architecture & Civil Engineering, University of Bath, affiliated with the Centre for Climate Adaptation & Environment Research (CAER). She holds a PhD in Building Materials from Luleå University of Technology (2022) and a Master’s in Materials Engineering from Polytechnic University of Tirana (2016). Her research focuses on sustainable construction materials, including mechanochemical activation of clays for cement replacements and energy-efficient building solutions. She has contributed to projects like the Scaled-up Mechanochemical Activation of Clay Minerals at the University of Manchester (2024–2025).

She actively reviews for journals such as Materials and Structures and Cement & Concrete Composites.
Collaborations include leading roles in global projects and organizing conferences like the 1st International Conference on Smart Materials for Sustainable Construction (2019).
