Ilana Yel

Ilana Yel is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine, specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry. She has been a faculty member since 2013 and currently leads the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Consult service at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. Dr. Yel also serves as the director of the Psychiatry Clerkship for the Renaissance School of Medicine (RSOM) and maintains a small outpatient practice focused on pediatric mental health conditions.

• Board Certified in Psychiatry (2008) and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (2010) by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Completed residency and fellowship training at Stony Brook University Medical Center

Her clinical expertise spans depression, anxiety, ADHD, and pre-transplant psychiatric evaluations for pediatric kidney transplant candidates. She is affiliated with Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, and other Stony Brook Medicine facilities.
