His research focuses on micromechanics of composite materials, fracture mechanics, and computational modeling applied to marine aquaculture systems and ocean renewable energy installations. Key methodologies include finite element analysis, surrogate modeling, and multi-scale homogenization techniques.
Recent publications analyze elastic properties of carbon-black/UHMWPE nanocomposites, offshore aquaculture structure dynamics, and surrogate models for particulate composites. His work spans modeling of marine systems, residual stress analysis in 3D woven composites, and fatigue behavior of advanced materials, with applications in offshore energy and sustainable seafood systems.
As director of the Computational Mechanics Laboratory, he leads research on structural behavior of offshore systems, material processing effects on mechanical properties, and numerical validation of composite manufacturing processes. His teaching includes Dynamics, Mechanics of Composite Materials, and Advanced Finite Element Analysis.
