Dr. Igor Danilkin is a Staff Scientist at the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (since 2020), specializing in theoretical particle physics. His career includes postdoctoral roles at TU Darmstadt, FIAS, Jefferson Laboratory, and Mainz University. He holds a PhD in Physics from TU Darmstadt (2009-2012).
Research focuses on hadron spectroscopy, dispersive methods, quarkonia, and chiral perturbation theory. Notable contributions include analyzing photon-photon interactions, light-by-light scattering, and exotic hadron states. He co-leads courses on Quantum Field Theory and Advanced Quantum Mechanics.
- Advises PhD students: Oleksandra Deineka (coupled-channel dynamics) and Daniel Molnar (charmonium exotics).
- Key collaborations include the Cluster of Excellence PRISMA+ and the ERC Grant SIMDAMA.
Publications span over 15 years, emphasizing precision calculations for Standard Model predictions and hadron dynamics. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with experimental data from colliders and scattering experiments.
