Ignacio Cerdeña is the Assistant Medical Director in the General Psychiatry Division at Connecticut Valley Hospital and a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, Yale University. He holds an MD from Yale School of Medicine (2018) and a BS in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2012). His research focuses on health equity, forensic psychiatry, and public psychiatry, with notable contributions to addressing racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare. He has authored chapters on social justice and health equity and led a quality improvement initiative to reduce prescribing biases in residency training. Collaborators include Jessica Isom, MD, MPH. He completed fellowships in Public Psychiatry (Yale, 2022) and Forensic Psychiatry (Yale, 2023). Awards include recognition at the 2022 Yale School of Medicine Commencement ceremonies.
