Ieva Zemīte

Ieva Zemīte is an Associate Professor in Creative Entrepreneurship at the Latvian Academy of Culture, Latvia, and serves as Programme Director for the joint post-graduate study programme “Creative Industries and Growth Mindset” with Riga Technical University. She is also a Senior Researcher at the Latvian Academy of Culture Research Centre and leads the project “Creative Industries in Small Towns: Potential and Contributions to Sustainability”. Her roles include membership in the Steering Committee of the Imagining Sustainable Glass Network Europe (ISGNE), evaluation jury member for the University of Latvia Students Business Incubator and LIAA Creative Industries Incubator, and board member of the design studio “Glass Point”.

Her research focuses on leveraging creative industries for sustainable development, particularly in small towns, and spans cultural economics, entrepreneurship ecosystems, and design-driven innovation. She actively contributes to interdisciplinary networks and educational frameworks, such as the EU4ART European University consortium, which aims to unify fine arts curricula across European institutions.
