Professor Idris Fassassi is a distinguished scholar of Public Law at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, where he directs the Center for Comparative Public Law. He holds a Doctorate in Public Law from Aix-Marseille University and an LL.M from Harvard Law School.
His research examines constitutional law, US legal systems, and fundamental rights, with particular focus on judicial review legitimacy and conservative legal philosophy. His publications analyze tensions within American legal conservatism and Supreme Court functionality.
Recent works explore transitions in constitutional interpretation and the counter-majoritarian implications of judicial review. His scholarship consistently addresses democratic tensions in constitutional systems.
