Idoia Quintana Dominguez is a Lecturer and researcher at the Center for Applied Ethics at the University of Deusto. She holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid and the Catholic University of Leuven, with a joint thesis on Maurice Blanchot's work. Her research focuses on contemporary philosophy, particularly the aesthetic and political thought of Maurice Blanchot, community and democracy theories from Blanchot, Jean-Luc Nancy, and Jacques Derrida, and ethical-political approaches to forgiveness in the Basque conflict.

Her current project, funded by the European Commission through the H2020-MSCA-IF-2019 program, explores forgiveness in the Basque conflict. She has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Paris X Nanterre and the University of Leuven, and has conducted research at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Buenos Aires (2016–2018) and the Department of Hispanic Studies at the University of California, Riverside (2021–2022).
